I support clients in the following areas utilizing a Biblical & Christian Worldview:
I. Exploration & Discovery of your Life's Purpose
II. Spiritual Development through Faith practices such as journaling, reading the Holy Bible, praying, etc.
III. Personal Growth/Personal Development
IV. Self-Expression and Acceptance of one's self
V. Learning & practicing how to listen to your intuition
VI. Practicing effective communication
VII. Releasing negative self-talk and improving self-confidence
VIII. Career Exploration and Using your VOICE to advocate for yourself in your personal & professional life
IX. Goal-setting and creating an action plan to attain your goals
I was created by God to help people! It took me years to understand that there is no one size fits all approach to doing this. I want to help people, my people, the people, PEOPLE! Who else is going to help us?
I spent my entire life working towards becoming a Clinical Psychologist (Note: I am currently a Rostered Psychotherapist however, I do not provide mental health services at TTWNT, LLC) to later learn that my calling was much bigger! I have always wanted to work from a non-secular approach! Becoming a Christian Life Coach and starting TTWNT, LLC was always a thought, but it was just that, a thought! That is until, I stepped into my purpose (and I must admit that what seemed like stressors were God pushing me into accepting my purpose) and I was scared. I was scared and nervous about the sacrifices I would need to make in order to attain my goals. I acknowledged how I was feeling and created an action plan for myself.
Also, the field of coaching is a predominately White space with White coaches. Although I am glad the support is there for some individuals, the lack of diversity in the field is apparent. I identify as African American, Black, and BIPOC! It is problematic that there remains a lack of resources, representation, and support for BIPOC people, and I hope to create & inspire change. REPRESENTATION DOES MATTER!
YOU MATTER!
YOUR VOICE MATTERS!
YOUR EXISTENCE MATTERS!
YOUR EXPERIENCE MATTERS!
YOUR PERSPECTIVE MATTERS!
YOUR PRESENCE MATTERS!
YOUR VISION MATTERS!
YOUR CREATIVITY MATTERS!
YOUR LIFE MATTERS!
YOU MATTER! YOU MATTER! YOU MATTER!
Great question! I am new to coaching however, my combined knowledge, experience, education, and commitment to continued education is what makes me competent to do my job as a Christian Life Coach.
This is all new to me as I am new to the field however, I do believe I can answer this question. We are all human and I understand the importance of support, compassion & empathy, and reflection. What I believe may be a challenge is working with a client who refuses to hold themselves accountable. Accountability creates space for growth and if you are resistant to self-accountability & introspection, I'll be frank, the work we do together will not be received.
"An ICF Credential is a professional certification indicating that you have met specific standards and requirements designed to develop and refine your coaching skills. It is an indication that you are dedicated to upholding strong principles of ethical behavior in coaching. An ICF Credential shows your clients and peers that you are committed to the coaching industry and to developing yourself as a coaching professional." - International Coaching Federation
At this time, I do not have a credential with ICF. I am committed to lifelong learning and improvement as a life coach. I am currently taking classes to become an ICF Level 1 Coach (ACC) at the Mindfulness Coaching School, an ICF accredited program.

In the process of receiving coaching services, you may begin to bring up issues related to mental health or you may exhibit signs or symptoms of a mental health disorder that needs to be addressed in therapy, sometimes referred to as counseling. If I begin to notice any of the following, including but not limited to, your daily functioning is impaired, if the problem is interfering with your coaching progress, you express signs of distress associated with a mental health disorder, et cetera, I will encourage you to seek supports.
As your coach, I am aware that this is outside my scope of practice as a Christian Life Coach and I will communicate my thoughts with you within a reasonable timeframe. I will encourage you to seek support from a mental health professional and will set the parameters of what is and what is not addressed in coaching. Weighing the options, I may postpone, continue, or terminate coaching.
Note: I BELIEVE IN NORMALIZING THE DISCUSSION OF MENTAL HEALTH AND SEEKING TREATMENT. I STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT EVERY HUMAN DESERVES A MENTAL HEALTH PROVIDER that creates a safe space, actively listens, and creates & seeks to strengthen a healthy client-therapist relationship. Therefore, as your Christian Life Coach, if I believe a referral is necessary I will discuss this with you.

A Christian life coach uses similar techniques to a secular coach. However, Christian Life Coaches, like myself, incorporate scripture, prayer, and other Faith practices into the work we do together. My approach to Christian Life Coaching includes a Biblical perspective & worldview. The space I hold for clients INCLUDES God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit! I am here to support, encourage, challenge, and hold you accountable. I understand that God created you, attached a purpose and calling onto your life, and that it is your CHOICE whether you step into your purpose and become fulfilled with all that God has offered you by breathing life into you.
A Christian life coach seeks to work with Christians. A Christian is one who believes in God, seeks knowledge, wisdom, and truth from the Bible which is without error in the original manuscripts, accepts Jesus Christ, as his or her Lord and Savior and believes that he is the Son of God, who died for our sins.
Let me begin by saying that life coaching and psychotherapy/mental health services are different! While both are very valuable in personal development, their approaches differ in many ways. Life Coaches focus on the future while therapists focus on the past.
Life coaching is about assessing where you are right now and creating a plan that helps move you forward and closer towards attaining your goals and fulfilling your purpose in life. Coaches are goal oriented, and as such they help clients set goals, create action plans to achieve those goals, support them along the way while also encouraging motivation and accountability. There are no current state or national laws that require a license to practice as a coach. However, many suspect that the field will be regulated in the future which have prompted many life coaches to pursue credentialing with the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
Psychotherapy, also called talk therapy or counseling, helps individuals gain insight into difficulties and challenges they are facing and helps individuals recognize conscious and unconscious processes that typically result in emotional distress and mental health issues. Therapist assess, diagnose, and treat people with a range of mental health disorders. Therapist are trained mental health professionals who are in a regulated field and requires licensure.
As your coach, I agree to maintain the ethics and standards of behavior established by the International Coach Federation ("ICF") found at https://coachfederation.org/code-of-ethics. You should review the ICF Code of Ethics and the applicable standards of behavior.
You are solely responsible for creating and implementing your own physical, mental and emotional well-being, decisions, choices, actions and results arising out of or resulting from the coaching relationship and your coaching calls and interactions with me, as your Coach. As such, you agree that as your Coach, I am not, and will not be, liable or responsible for any actions or inaction, or for any direct or indirect result of any services provided by me, your Coach. You acknowledge that coaching is NOT psychotherapy and does not substitute for psychotherapy if needed, and does not prevent, cure, or treat any mental health disorder or medical disease or illness.
Thank you for considering me as your prospective Christian Life Coach. However, I am not able to provide coaching services to individuals who live outside of the U.S.. I wish you all the best on your journey towards finding a Christian Life Coach.
Either the client (you) or the coach (me) may terminate our agreement for coaching services at any time with written notice. You agree to compensate me for all coaching services rendered through and including the effective date of termination of the coaching relationship.
Should you wish to return, you are welcome to contact me by email to schedule an appointment.
